There had to be better way and, as luck would have it, opportunity was finally meeting ability. It was exhausting and not time efficient. Right before I purchased my z125, Tiny, I was spending nearly 8 hours a day commuting all over town. Much of that time I spent bicycling and bussing, using the skills I learned from the on the bike class to stay safe sharing lanes with cars on the road in areas like Hollywood, Santa Monica, and Culver City. I waited, and waited, and waited for the next six years. My research led me to the Glendale Harley Davidson Rider’s Edge program.Īfter purchasing gloves, boots, riding jacket, and a helmet I watched craigslist and looked for the right opportunity to pick up a motorcycle. I failed the written exam twice and realized I needed a more intense training program if I was going to be serious about riding. I had already been contemplating motorcycle life for a couple of years. That May (eight years ago) I got my M1 license.
